Leybato Bar & Restaurant with Motel was founded by Saikou Demba in 1983. It started as a small shed on the beach providing grilled fish and developed successfully into a Bar & Restaurant cherished by its national and international clientele. It was complimented with a motel in later years.

 Leybato is a picturesque location; enabling the visitor to enjoy both the scenic beauty of the land and the sea. One of the great fascinations of the place is watching the sunset. Witnessing the sun gradually fading and finally sinking into the ocean in the distant horizon is an exciting and unforgettable experience.

 

 

 

Leybato grew up nurturing a distinct clientele. Varying in nationality and walks of life, the clients of Leybato have one thing in common: the love for peace, quietness, scenic beauty, privacy and hospitable service in a friendly atmosphere. Leybato is famous for that by its customers of all nationalities.
Resident expatriates Americans and Europeans as well as reputable Gambians are particularly fond of Leybato for their meals out, dining away from home. The place is also a popular choice for dining of small groups. It is also a comfortable place for families with children to spend a day at the beach. Leybato is open 24 hrs a day.
